Fred C Andersen Scout Camp

Cabin Camping is planned for November!

Join the Troop at Fred C. Andersen November 6-8

We are planning a campout at Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp, about 45 minutes from Edina near Stillwater, MN.  Honoring the generous support of the Andersen Windows founder, Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp sits directly on the banks of the scenic St. Croix River, near Stillwater. Opened in 1928, this camp is a perfect spot to launch a canoe trip or plan an overnight campout. 150 foot bluffs of solid rock divide the property into two levels with 260 acres of dense forest, open fields, and unique rock formations to explore.

Campout Details:

  • The Campout at Fred C Andersen will be November 6-8, 2026 . Planning night is November 2nd during the Troop meeting.

  • The first 28-30 Scouts who sign up for this event (and all Chaperones) will be able to sleep in cabins. As there is room for only 28-30 Scouts in the cabins, additional Scouts are expected to sleep in tents for this event. Please check the weather and be prepared with appropriate gear...November can be cold!

  • For those sleeping in cabins, please plan to bring sleeping pads and sleeping bags as usual, as there is an area that is open floor and you may need your sleeping pad.

  • All camp attendees need to have on file parts A & B of Scout Annual Health and Medical Record.

  • Weekend Campout Packing list

  • If you still need Camping Merit Badge Requirement 4b "Help a scout patrol or a Webelos Scout unit in your area prepare for an actual campout, including creating the duty roster, menu planning, equipment needs, general planning, and setting up camp" please consider planning and carrying out this requirement at the meeting on 11/2.
